Welcome to the Bukharian Jewish Community Center (“BJCC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website at bukharianjewishcommunitycenter.org, registering for membership, participating in programs, or making a donation, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website and using any of our services — including but not limited to membership registration, event enrollment, CPR training sign-up, and email subscription — you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or have parental/guardian consent), and that you accept these Terms & Conditions in full.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BJCC. Your continued use of our website following any updates to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Use of Our Website

You agree to use our website solely for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the site. Permitted uses of this website include:
  • Viewing community announcements, event listings, and Shabbat times
  • Registering for events, programs, and CPR training sessions
  • Applying for or renewing BJCC membership
  • Making charitable donations to support BJCC programs
  • Subscribing to the BJCC email newsletter
  • Contacting BJCC staff and spiritual leaders

Membership Terms

BJCC offers several membership tiers, each with its own pricing and benefits. By registering for a membership plan, you agree to the following:
  • Membership fees are billed annually and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing by BJCC
  • Membership benefits, including High Holiday seating and Bracha Shinati access, are personal and non-transferable
  • BJCC reserves the right to modify membership pricing and benefits with reasonable advance notice to members
  • Additional family members are eligible for a 50% discount on High Holiday seats as noted in the applicable membership tier
BJCC reserves the right to revoke membership at its sole discretion in cases of conduct deemed harmful to the community, without refund of membership fees.

Events & Programs

BJCC offers a variety of educational, spiritual, and social events including Torah classes, Monday Nights for Singles, Teen Lounge, Shabbat Learning Programs, Chavruta Programs, and more. By registering for any event or program, you agree that:
  • Event registration is subject to availability and may require advance sign-up
  • BJCC may cancel or reschedule events due to unforeseen circumstances, with notification provided where possible
  • Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner consistent with BJCC’s community values

Donations

BJCC is a nonprofit organization, and all donations are used to support our community programs, spiritual services, and operational expenses. By making a donation through our website:
  • You confirm that the funds are from a legitimate source and that you are authorized to make the donation
  • All donations are final and non-refundable unless a processing error occurred
  • BJCC will issue a tax receipt for all qualifying charitable contributions in accordance with applicable IRS regulations
  • BJCC reserves the right to use donations at its discretion for community benefit, unless a specific designation is agreed upon in writing

CPR Training

BJCC offers CPR and First Aid training programs designed to prepare community members to respond effectively in emergencies. By registering for a CPR training session, you agree that:
  • Participation is voluntary and you assume any inherent risks associated with physical training activities
  • BJCC’s CPR training is educational in nature and does not replace professional medical care
  • Certification validity and requirements are subject to the standards of the issuing certifying body
  • BJCC is not liable for any injury sustained during training sessions that results from a participant’s failure to follow instructor guidance
  • Registration slots are limited; BJCC reserves the right to waitlist or reschedule participants as needed

Intellectual Property

All content on the BJCC website — including text, images, logos, graphics, videos, and program materials — is the property of the Bukharian Jewish Community Center or its content licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any BJCC content without prior written permission
  • The BJCC name, logo, and related marks are trademarks of the Bukharian Jewish Community Center and may not be used without authorization
  • Personal, non-commercial use of website content (such as saving a Shabbat times schedule for personal reference) is permitted

Disclaimer of Warranties

The BJCC website and all content, services, and information provided are offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. BJCC does not warrant that:
  • The website will be available at all times or free from errors or interruptions
  • Information on the website (including event schedules and Shabbat times) is always current and accurate
  • The website is free from viruses or other harmful components

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BJCC, its spiritual leaders, directors, staff, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — our website, programs, or services, even if BJCC has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

BJCC’s total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to BJCC in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

User Conduct

BJCC is a spiritual home built on respect, tradition, and community togetherness. All users of this website and participants in BJCC programs are expected to uphold these values. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
  • Harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful behavior toward BJCC staff, spiritual leaders, or community members
  • Sharing false or misleading information about BJCC on any platform
  • Disrupting synagogue services, events, or programs in any way
  • Unauthorized use of BJCC facilities, branding, or resources
  • Any conduct that violates applicable local, state, or federal law
Violations may result in removal from programs, termination of membership, and/or legal action at BJCC’s sole discretion.

BJCC reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. When changes are made, the updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
