Among Rabbi Babayev’s many initiatives is the distribution of over 50,000 Torah-based CDs in the Bukharian language, strengthening Jewish education and tradition within the community. Born in Samarkand, Rabbi Babayev moved to Israel in 1995, where he quickly became a respected spiritual figure.
He received Rabbinical ordination from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel in 2002 and trained as a Dayan under esteemed Torah authorities, including Harav Ovadia Yosef and Rabbi Abarzel. Rabbi Babayev’s dedication to youth engagement earned him the JIQ Elementary School Award, reflecting his deep commitment to nurturing the next generation of Bukharian Jewish leaders.
